I’m not very good at “casual wear” but this seems appropriate for brunch + shopping, no?

I’ve amassed an uncomfortable number of bookmarked items that I need/want/wish I had a reason to buy… while I don’t really have time to invest in substantial content at the moment, I’m using this as a virtual wishlist of sorts for the next few posts. Enjoy :)

After much debate and fun-filled hours scouring the web for travel ideas… we finally decided where we’re going to spend our honeymoon!!! We knew we wanted to go somewhere in Southeast Asia or the Pacific islands and ultimately decided that we were really looking for a place with a variety of things to do and an interesting culture to experience (ruling out most of the Pacific islands were sun/sand/sea are the only attractions). We also want to avoid monsoon season for obvious reasons… I want to be able to lay by my private infinity pool, relax in a world class spa and shop in local boutiques. Z wants to be able to swim in the ocean, try a new cuisine and see interesting cultural sites. We decided that Bali offers the best mix of the things we were looking for… so, off we go!

First stop is the high end spa and boutique shopping capital of Bali… where “the sunshine is golden and the nightlife scintillates, and days and nights revolve around an ever-evolving mix of excitement.”

Paired with a trendy, glamorous hotel described as an “opulent playground” for the senses…

It’s new, uber-modern, right on the beach and steps away from shopping and dining excursions!

(like this clifftop bar with stunning views of the Jimbaran Bay)

Then we’ll head north to one of Bali’s most fertile and picturesque regions where the landscape ranges from volcanic mountains and verdant rice terraces to beautiful black-sand beaches overlooking the Indian Ocean.

I’m obsessed with the second resort where we are staying. It’s pure seclusion, pure relaxation, pure bliss.

Minimalist in design but not lacking in luxury – 3000 square ft villas, 24/7 butler service…

Each villa has its own pool, direct beach access, inner courtyards bathed in natural light, and al fresco pavilions for relaxing :)

Can’t. Wait.
